Good news everyone! LDS Dating World now has a new look, with many new features not available before, including Full-screen Video Instant Messaging, Video and Audio Chat, Video uploads and embeds, MP3 Uploads, Games, enhanced privacy capabilities, and many many other features.
You lucky people who joined LDS Dating World prior to April 15th of 2010 are all being upgraded to Lifetime Memberships, regardless of your previous level of membership, and for free of course.
What does this mean for you? Well, you will have a much better experience for a start, but you will also need to do a couple of things to allow your profile, which has already been partially transferred to the site, to be made active and searchable on the new site. What are these things?
1. You have to upload your photos again to the new site, because I simply don't know how to move all the thousands of photos of 2400 members into the new site. If you choose not to have a photo, you can still choose an avatar to represent you on the site.
2. You will have to make some entries into your profile page in order to make it active, such as a headline and a brief description of yourself. You will also need to update your geographic location, since the site uses google maps to locate members on a map of the world, which can then be clicked on to browse members. City and State is all you need to input, and if you choose to say you live in Iceland when you really live in Utah, that's fine. Make those entries when you come to your profile page and hit save, and you will be activated.
3. I don't know your passwords, and I don't want to know them. They are now, and have always been, encrypted. Unfortunately that means the new website doesn't know your old password for LDS Dating World. The first thing you will have to do is to click on the forgot password link so a new password can be sent to the email address you originally signed up under. You can then log in, make the entries to your profile I have already described, and change your password to something you like. The email you will receive has a user number in it - thats not your login name - if you forgot your username, email me and I'll email it to you.
That's it, and you're online at the new site.
Sounds like a lot? It's easier than typing this message was, I assure you. And I'm sure you will love the new site.
Regards,
Admin
